Huntingdon was recommended to me, and I had a family member that was here and loved it. My stay was pleasant and very personal. All areas of my needs were met and addresses. The resident voice was great; she visited me often. Anything I had on my mind, they were there to talk to me.
I chose Huntingdon Health because I thought I knew everyone here through my previous volunteer service, but, I didn’t and still loved it here! I enjoyed every second of being here, Randy and everyone in therapy was great!
The heart Dr. from hospital recommendation this facility for me to come to and said it was the best one on the list. Everyone at the facility was really nice! Megan Morgan, Tiffany Medlock, and Laura Perrigo, really help me a lot. Food was wonderful!
Everyone was great and friendly. I definitely enjoyed Barbara Milton. She is an asset to this community!
Don’t just take our advice—listen to one of our sweet residents tell her own testimony of being here at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center!
I chose Huntingdon Health and rehabilitation for my sister based on the hospital social worker’s recommendation. Barbara Melton, the therapy department, and Terry Lynch were just a few of the wonderful and loving staff that will leave a lasting impression.
I chose Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center for my daughter, Amanda. The therapy department, nurses, housekeeping, Randy Bunton, Aaron Townesend, Tony Taylor… the whole nine yards of ya’ll and the residents have been nice and I was glad to meet them!
I was treated nicely by the staff and felt respected and enjoyed the kindness.
I chose Huntingdon Health & Rehab for myself because I heard good reports from a nurse. The therapy department, Randy Burton, Betty Kurr, Margie Hampton and Barbara Milton…were just some of the team members that stood out during my stay.
I chose Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation center because they had a room and rehabilitation! Randy Burton, Lacie Wilson, Kayla, Tawana, Terry Ivy, Betty Karr, and Barbara Milton were all so good to me during my stay! I liked Bingo, Sunday School, and Sunday Services too!
I wanted to tell about my experience at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation. My first visit at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation, I could not walk by myself. When I got there, the Administrator, Alison was outside trimming the flowers. I knew right then that I was in the right place, where everyone worked as a team. Then, by the afternoon, I met some of the most amazing nurses and I met the head of the Departments, which made me feel so welcome and like I was in my own home. The Activities Director, Terry, keeps the residents busy, but more than that she keeps their minds busy and gives the love that they need and enjoy.
The CNA’s are angels here. They make sure that we get our showers and anything we need. They are wonderful and I believe they were sent by God. In fact, all employees were made for this career by our Lord. There is one nurse that tells patients every night, “I love you.” That is what we need to hear. I had the best Physical Therapy team that helped me recover. They are angels also. They also have a wonderful hair stylist that comes every Tuesday.
I recovered and went back home, but unfortunately, I fell and hurt myself again and guess where I came back to? I went back to the House of Angels.
I am telling you if you ever need Therapy or need a Nursing Facility, come on out to Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation for long or short-term visits. All the staff is amazing, from Nursing to Paula, the social worker who makes sure that all your needs and business is taken care of. Paula runs errands for us and makes sure all our needs are met. That angel has to have wings the way she flies around here.
As with other facilities, we have our moments, but because of the staff, it is solved very quickly.
The staff here has been more than nice to me and my family. I would come here again for Rehab if needed. This center is my choice of facilities. The fact that people will holler hello to you from a distance just to speak was wonderful to me. I have enjoyed the activities (Bingo), getting my nails polished, and getting my hair cut. I just can’t believe they have things like that available to the residents. So I don’t get bored, I have my flat screen TV and word find puzzles provided by Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation. I have enjoyed being here and getting to know all the staff and other residents.
I’m a patient at Huntingdon Health & Rehab. I’ve been here before and it’s a nice place to be. They have activities to help keep busy. They have workbooks, word puzzle books, church services, nature magazines to read, games to play, good food. There’s a place to get your hair cut, curled, and if you want to have a permanent well you can get that too. All of the people who work here are very nice. It’s a very nice place to be. But there’s no place like home.
Thanks for all that help that you’ve done for me.
I chose Huntingdon Health Center because I heard it was close and my mother had been here before and said they are the best. This place is great and everyone is family. I will miss each and everybody and I will send people to this wonderful place.
I decided to choose Huntingdon Health Center because I heard it was a good place for treatment. One of the team members at Huntingdon, Kelly was especially sweet to me but so was everyone else. Everyone here treated me like family.
Huntingdon Health Center is so close to home for me and they have a great PT staff! They are very caring and have all the equipment to help improve wellness. The CNAs were all courteous and caring and they handle problems promptly.
I chose this center because it is close to home. Louise, CNA, has been excellent! She goes above and beyond.
Mrs. M came to Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center after a hospital stay. She went in for an outpatient surgery and had complications. She came to us for short-term rehab. Ms. M was confused when she came in and not able to transfer or walk without assistance. She had great support from her boys and they were just as eager for her to return home as she was. Following her completion of skilled services, Ms. M was able to ambulate independently with RW. She was able to get herself ready for the day with no assistance. Ms. M said, “If I ever need therapy again, I will come back here!” Good luck Ms. M!
Mr. Finch was a retired Army man that spent most of his career working in Medical Equipment Maintenance. He came down suddenly with a cough that quickly became much worse & began to limit his ability to walk and take care of himself daily. He was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia & acute respiratory failure. Upon discharge from the hospital, he arrived at our facility for intense physical & occupational therapy. He was a hard worker & was dedicated to giving it his all every day.
Mr. Finch required assistance with self-care tasks, transfers & functional mobility. Upon discharge, Mr. Finch was independent with mobility & required no assistant device. Mr. Finch was also independent with all activities of daily living.
Mr. Finch stated, “Y’all are the best group I have ever worked around and the best group I ever worked with”! He also said if he ever had to come back to a facility for therapy, he would definitely be coming back to Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Therapy News for Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation
Mrs. Paula C, recently completed her therapy program at Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation and proudly reported that she would “Definitely” recommend the therapy department at HHR. Mrs. Cary also reported that everyone has been so understanding and helpful and answered all her question.
Not only did Mrs. Cary receive “great” therapy, she reported that the therapy department helped her make a plan to go home. They helped me develop a plan to get well and active again after all the trauma that I have been through in the hospitals.
My main goal has always been to go back home and live a peaceful life with my husband and puppy. Therapy has helped me meet all my goals. Everyone in the therapy staff was wonderful but I mainly worked with Rusty for physical therapy. Rusty even went to my home and made suggestions to help make my home safer when I get home.
Even though Mrs. Cary had great things to say about Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation, she did recount that she wanted to stay safe and healthy and be able to stay home.
I just wanted to thank the staff at Huntingdon Health and Rehab for the care they gave my Mom while she was there. From the time of admission to settling in; they were always there to help- till the day she died (Labor day). Thanks to the kind, knowledgeable and caring staff Karen, Melissa, Henrietta and Kerri- there are no words to express our gratitude. No words can capture what we feel in our hearts.
Thanks to the CNA’s- Anastasia, Penny, Jennifer T., Eric, Tiffany and Teresa, they treated my mom with such dignity, care and compassion. I have been a hospice RN for 20 years and been in lots of nursing homes- yet the staff at Huntingdon should be the model that all nursing homes follow.
The day before my mom became unresponsive I received a call from her “I love it here. Everyone is so nice!”
If I have left out any one’s name; I am so sorry. Thank you again! The best Staff ever!
I chose Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center for a very simple reason- I heard it was good! Everything here has been great. I truly recommend this place to anyone!
I loved my stay at Huntingdon! My favorite activities to do there were Bingo and getting to know the other guests. The therapy there was excellent; I have felt so much improvement! The staff, including Regina, Jennifer, Randy, Sherri, and Tosha, were all warm and welcoming, and always checking up on me. It has been an overall pleasant and positive experience.
